Baked Parmesan Garlic Herb Salmon (Print)

Flaky salmon baked with parmesan, garlic, and herbs in foil for a quick, flavorful dinner option.

# Ingredients:

01 - 680 g skin-on salmon fillet
02 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
03 - 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
04 - 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
05 - 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
06 - 50 g parmesan cheese, finely grated
07 - 0.5 teaspoon Italian seasoning
08 - 0.5 teaspoon sea salt
09 - 0.25 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
10 - 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 220°C. Arrange a large sheet of foil on a baking tray, ensuring enough overhang to fold around the salmon.
02 - In a small bowl, thoroughly combine softened butter, lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and chopped parsley until a cohesive mixture is formed.
03 - Place salmon fillet skin-side down on the foil. Fold foil edges upward, shaping a shallow vessel, but leave the top exposed. Evenly spread the herb-parmesan mixture over the surface of the salmon.
04 - Transfer baking tray to the oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until salmon is just firm and flakes gently with a fork.
05 - Switch oven to broil setting and cook for an additional 1 to 2 minutes to achieve a golden, lightly crisped top.
06 - Remove from oven and let rest briefly. Garnish with additional chopped parsley and a sprinkle of extra parmesan cheese if desired. Serve immediately.

# Notes:

01 - Ensure salmon is at room temperature before baking for even cooking.
