Sausage Sweet Potatoes Honey Garlic (Print)

Sausage and sweet potatoes combine with a sweet, garlicky glaze for a hearty, weeknight dinner.

# Ingredients:

01 - 450 g Italian or chicken sausage
02 - 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed

→ Sauce and Seasonings

03 - 60 ml honey
04 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
05 - 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
06 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
07 - 1 teaspoon paprika
08 - Salt, to taste
09 - Black pepper, to taste

→ Garnish

10 - Fresh parsley, chopped

# Steps:

01 - Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into uniform cubes.
02 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sausage and cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned.
03 - Add the cubed sweet potatoes to the skillet and sauté for 5 minutes.
04 - In a bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce (or tamari), paprika, salt, and black pepper.
05 - Pour the honey garlic sauce over the sausage and sweet potatoes. Stir to coat. Cover the skillet and simmer for 10 minutes, or until the sweet potatoes are fork tender.
06 - Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

01 - Refrigerate any leftovers for up to three days or freeze for as long as two months.
02 - For a twist, substitute turkey sausage or replace sweet potatoes with butternut squash according to availability.
