Swedish Meatballs Creamy Gravy Mash (Print)

Tender Swedish meatballs with creamy gravy, perfect alongside fluffy mashed potatoes and berry sauce.

# Ingredients:

→ Meatballs

01 - 450 g ground beef
02 - 225 g ground pork
03 - 100 g breadcrumbs
04 - 120 ml whole milk
05 - 1 large egg
06 - 1 teaspoon salt
07 - 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper

→ Gravy

08 - 30 g unsalted butter
09 - 16 g all-purpose flour
10 - 480 ml beef broth
11 - 240 ml heavy cream

# Steps:

01 - Set the oven to 190°C.
02 - In a large bowl, gently combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, salt, and pepper until just incorporated.
03 - Form the mixture into 2.5 cm meatballs and place them aside.
04 - Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Brown the meatballs in batches until golden brown on all sides; transfer to a baking dish.
05 - In the same skillet, melt butter, whisk in flour, and cook for 1 minute. Gradually add beef broth and heavy cream, whisking continuously. Bring to a simmer and cook until thickened.
06 - Pour the prepared gravy over the browned meatballs. Bake in the oven for 20–25 minutes or until meatballs are thoroughly cooked.
