In a large bowl, gently combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, salt, and pepper until just incorporated.

Form the mixture into 2.5 cm meatballs and place them aside.

Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Brown the meatballs in batches until golden brown on all sides; transfer to a baking dish.

In the same skillet, melt butter, whisk in flour, and cook for 1 minute. Gradually add beef broth and heavy cream, whisking continuously. Bring to a simmer and cook until thickened.
