Smoky Sweet Barbecue Sauce (Print)

This smoky, tangy sauce adds bold flavor to grilled meats, burgers, and more in just 30 minutes.

# Ingredients:

→ Sauce Base

01 - 240 ml ketchup
02 - 60 ml apple cider vinegar
03 - 55 g brown sugar
04 - 30 ml Worcestershire sauce
05 - 15 ml mustard

→ Spices and Seasoning

06 - 5 ml smoked paprika
07 - 5 ml garlic powder
08 - 5 ml onion powder
09 - 2.5 ml black pepper
10 - 2.5 ml salt

# Steps:

01 - In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine ketchup and apple cider vinegar.
02 - Add brown sugar and stir until fully dissolved into the liquid base.
03 - Incorporate Worcestershire sauce and mustard, stirring well to combine.
04 - Sprinkle in smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix thoroughly.
05 - Stir sauce continuously over medium heat for 5 minutes to develop flavor.
06 - Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, then reduce heat to low.
07 - Allow the sauce to cook uncovered for approximately 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until slightly thickened.
08 - Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly before transferring to a sterilized jar or airtight container.
09 - Use immediately or refrigerate for up to seven days for optimal freshness.
