# Ingredients:

→ Meat

01 - 450 g ground beef

→ Produce

02 - 1 medium onion, chopped
03 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 4 to 5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
05 - Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

→ Dairy

06 - 170 g shredded cheddar cheese
07 - 50 g grated Parmesan cheese
08 - 60 ml milk (optional, for creaminess)

→ Pantry

09 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
10 - 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
11 - 1/2 teaspoon paprika
12 - Salt, to taste
13 - Black pepper, to taste
14 - 120 ml beef broth or water

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 190°C. Lightly grease a 23 x 33 cm baking dish with cooking spray or olive oil.
02 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking apart with a spoon, until fully browned, around 5 to 7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
03 - Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes until the onion becomes soft and translucent.
04 - Transfer beef mixture evenly into prepared baking dish. Layer thinly sliced potatoes over the beef in an even layer. Season potatoes with salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika.
05 - Sprinkle shredded cheddar and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the potatoes. Pour beef broth or water around the edges of the dish. Drizzle milk over the potatoes for additional creaminess if desired.
06 - Cover the dish tightly with aluminium foil. Bake for 30 minutes.
07 - Remove the foil and continue to bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until potatoes are tender and cheese is golden and bubbling.
08 - Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot.

# Notes:

01 - For a lighter result, drain excess fat thoroughly after browning the beef.
