Donkey Balls Beef Cheese Bites (Print)

Savory beef balls with cheese and spices, baked for golden bites. Great for snacks, parties, or appetizers.

# Ingredients:

01 - 450 g ground beef (or ground turkey)
02 - 60 g shredded cheddar cheese
03 - 30 g breadcrumbs
04 - 35 g finely chopped onion
05 - 35 g chopped green bell pepper (optional)
06 - 1 tablespoon garlic powder
07 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
08 - 1 teaspoon dried oregano
09 - 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
10 - 1 large egg
11 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
12 - Salt, to taste

13 - 2 tablespoons ketchup
14 - 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 190°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, mix ground beef, shredded cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, onion, green bell pepper (if using), garlic powder, smoked paprika, dried oregano, black pepper, egg, Worcestershire sauce, and salt until thoroughly combined.
03 - Scoop portions of the mixture and roll into balls approximately 2.5 cm in diameter.
04 - Place meatballs on the prepared tray, spaced apart. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until browned and cooked through. Internal temperature should reach 71°C.
05 - If desired, mix ketchup and Worcestershire sauce for glaze. Brush glaze over meatballs about 5 minutes before the end of baking.
06 - Remove from oven and allow to rest for several minutes. Serve warm with preferred dipping sauce such as ranch, barbecue, or hot sauce.

# Notes:

01 - For a spicy version, include finely chopped jalapeños or chili flakes in the mixture.
02 - Prepared meatballs can be refrigerated up to 24 hours before baking, or frozen uncooked for later use.
03 - Excellent as a party appetizer, or served with rice, pasta, or as a filling for sliders.
