Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir ground beef until evenly browned and crumbled, for approximately 7 to 10 minutes.

Mix in condensed cream of mushroom soup with the cooked beef. Season generously with salt and ground black pepper.

Spread the beef and soup mixture evenly in a 33 × 23 centimetre baking dish.

Arrange frozen tater tots in a single even layer covering the beef mixture.

Distribute shredded Cheddar cheese evenly over the tater tots.

Bake uncovered for 30 to 45 minutes, or until cheese is bubbling and tater tots are crisp and golden.
