5-Ingredient Tater Tot Casserole (Print)

Cheesy ground beef layered with golden tater tots and baked for a crowd-pleasing, fuss-free dinner.

01 - 450 grams ground beef
02 - 300 grams condensed cream of mushroom soup
03 - Salt, to taste
04 - Ground black pepper, to taste
05 - 450 grams frozen tater tots
06 - 200 grams shredded Cheddar cheese

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 175°C.
02 - Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir ground beef until evenly browned and crumbled, for approximately 7 to 10 minutes.
03 - Mix in condensed cream of mushroom soup with the cooked beef. Season generously with salt and ground black pepper.
04 - Spread the beef and soup mixture evenly in a 33 × 23 centimetre baking dish.
05 - Arrange frozen tater tots in a single even layer covering the beef mixture.
06 - Distribute shredded Cheddar cheese evenly over the tater tots.
07 - Bake uncovered for 30 to 45 minutes, or until cheese is bubbling and tater tots are crisp and golden.
08 - Remove from oven and serve hot.

01 - For extra flavour, incorporate ground turkey or pepper jack cheese as alternatives.
02 - Keep tater tots frozen before baking for optimal crispness.
03 - Frozen peas, corn, or green beans can be folded into the beef mixture prior to baking for added texture and nutrition.
