Authentic German Frikadellen Patties (Print)

Juicy German Frikadellen patties, seasoned and pan-fried for a flavorful, comforting meal.

# Ingredients:

01 - 450 g ground beef (80/20)
02 - 1 medium onion, finely chopped
03 - 100 g fresh breadcrumbs
04 - 2 large eggs
05 - 15 ml Dijon mustard
06 - Salt, to taste
07 - Black pepper, to taste

# Steps:

01 - Finely chop the onion and measure all other components.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, add ground beef, chopped onion, breadcrumbs, eggs, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper. Blend thoroughly using clean hands until a homogenous mixture forms.
03 - Portion the mixture and shape into uniform patties approximately 2.5 cm thick.
04 - Heat a thin layer of oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry patties for 5 to 7 minutes per side until deeply golden and cooked through.
05 - Transfer cooked patties to paper towels to absorb excess oil. Serve immediately with preferred accompaniments.

# Notes:

01 - For extra moisture and flavor, use day-old bread soaked in water, squeezed dry, in place of breadcrumbs.
