One-Skillet Spicy Honey BBQ Pasta (Print)

Blending smoky sausage, BBQ sauce, and honey, this skillet pasta packs sweet heat in every bite.

# Ingredients:

→ Pasta

01 - 340 g rotini pasta

→ Protein

02 - 340 g spicy sausage (Andouille or Italian), sliced

→ Sauce and Seasoning

03 - 15 ml olive oil
04 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
05 - 240 ml smoky or honey-based BBQ sauce
06 - 30 ml honey
07 - 1 teaspoon paprika
08 - 0.5 teaspoon chili powder or cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
09 - Salt, to taste
10 - Black pepper, to taste

→ Garnish

11 - Fresh parsley, chopped

# Steps:

01 - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add rotini pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
02 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced sausage and cook for 5–7 minutes until browned and caramelized. Remove sausage and set aside.
03 - If necessary, add a small amount of olive oil to the skillet. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant and golden.
04 - Add BBQ sauce, honey, paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir thoroughly and simmer for 2–3 minutes until sauce is slightly thickened.
05 - Return browned sausage to the skillet along with drained pasta. Toss to coat all ingredients evenly with sauce.
06 - Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley and serve hot.

# Notes:

01 - Adjust the level of spiciness by modifying the amount of chili powder or cayenne pepper to taste.
02 - Pasta type can be varied according to preference.
03 - Dish may be made ahead and reheated for serving.
