Soft Baked Maple Donut Bars (Print)

Fluffy maple-infused bars topped with glaze, perfect for an easy breakfast or sweet afternoon treat.

# Ingredients:

→ Donut Bar Batter

01 - 125 grams all-purpose flour
02 - 150 grams granulated sugar
03 - 1 teaspoon baking powder
04 - 0.25 teaspoon salt
05 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
06 - 2 large eggs, room temperature
07 - 120 millilitres pure maple syrup
08 - 120 millilitres milk (whole or non-dairy alternative)
09 - 60 grams unsalted butter, melted and cooled

→ Maple Glaze

10 - 120 grams powdered sugar
11 - 30 millilitres milk

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 175°C. Grease and line an 20×20 cm baking pan with parchment paper.
02 - In a large bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon until evenly blended.
03 - In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, maple syrup, milk, and melted butter until the mixture is smooth and uniform.
04 - Fold the wet mixture into the dry ingredients using a spatula, stirring gently until just combined. Avoid overmixing to ensure a tender texture.
05 - Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.
06 - Allow the bars to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
07 - In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar and milk until the glaze is smooth and pourable.
08 - Once cooled, drizzle the glaze evenly over the bars. Slice and serve.

# Notes:

01 - For a dairy-free variation, substitute dairy milk and butter with plant-based alternatives.
02 - Bars are best enjoyed the day they are made but can be stored in an airtight container for up to two days.
